PJ Klerx en Zonen is the company behind the shoe brand Red-Rag, where we work hard with about 23 people every day to make the best quality shoes. Klerx is located in Waalwijk, a city in the Langstraat region: the center of the Dutch shoe industry. Klerx has been successful since 1985 with the brands Paul Green and Lumberjack and we are known for our quality and service. In 2004 Messrs. Klerx (Nico, Hans and Kees) decided to launch their own brand. At that time, the Dutch children's shoe market was boring and there was much of the same offer, there was a lack of guts. This gave rise to the idea of launching a children's shoe brand that would excite like a red rag, a 'red rag'! In 2005 the time had come and Klerx launched its first own brand: Red-Rag boys & girls. A quirky collection of children's shoes that brims with creativity and colour. The crazy details and prints are tough and cheeky. Red-Rag is different: striking, tough and far from serious or solid. And the shoes also fit like a glove because when it comes to quality, we at Red-Rag are very serious. Not much later, Klerx expanded with Red-Rag women. The result: an edgy shoe label from Dutch soil. Made for everyone who wants to distinguish themselves and are always looking for something new, trend-conscious but with their own distinct look.
